Bi ismillahir rahmanir raheem

assalamu alaikum

When it comes to ahadith collections such as the one above and below you can take advice from them literally, generally speaking that is and act on it as they pertain to adab or muslim character and etiquettes not fiqh rulings which are a separate field of knowledge and require much deeper analysis of all the evidence. this also goes for the Quran or other ahadith collections such as sahih bukhari when they are referring to Adab, you dont need someone to investigate and see that allah is merciful or karim but you do when it comes to matters such inheritance and business. Insha allah khair.

Dear Murabit and Rami,
Thank You for these links. So many of the Jewish and christian people I
deal with are fearful of Islam. Many of the Muslims that I deal with
assume that I am ignorant. This will serve me well. I have a Muslim friend
who years ago was my co-worker in an orchestra run by another friend
(Our boss at the time) who happened to be jewish.

Both parties thought the other to be cheating the other. I fed my muslim
friend a few lines of talmud appropriate to use in his meeting with my
Jewish friend (Our boss) They became great friends. Both are complicated
people both had at the time newly embraced their separate religious
identities.
In the end it turns out they were both fair but both lacking in their social
skills. They still work together today. They still argue like an old married
couple. To me they refer to each other playfully as Golda and Farakan. I
have blessedly moved on.
