Is the expectation of the Mahdi part of Quranic Scripture, or is it a later addition from the Hadiths? Where did the belief develope from?

The hadiths mention the coming of Imam Mahdi, but they are not "later additions". The hadiths have been around since the time of the Prophet.

So the Mahdi is not in the Quran?
Are the hadiths considered as reliable as the Quran? Are they considered to be revelations from Allah?

The Mahdi is not mentioned in the Quran.
The Hadiths are the second most important source in Islam, behind the Quran. However, unlike the Quran which is the literal word of God, the hadiths are the reports of the Companions of the Prophet. In a way, they are revelation since Muhammad (peace be upon him) was sent to teach mankind about Islam. Everything he said about religion was thus from Allah (swt). However, as I said, since they are reports made by humans, they are not the literal word of Allah. There is also a different class of hadiths called "Hadith Qudsi" which are the words of Allah that have been related by the Prophet in his own words.

Almahdi if show it will be end of minor signs of judgement day,
So then Major sign will occur
In fact, almahdi will live untill
Major sign will show
Like he will be with jesus and in time of antichrist
He live after him
Source is hadith :
Allah order to obey prophet ( Hadith is prophet speech)
Surah almaida
Obey Allah, and obey the Messenger. Beware; if you give no heed, know that Our Messenger's duty is only to give the clear delivery.
God say about prophet speech :
Surah alnajam :
Nor does he speak from [his own] inclination.

There are signs come before Almahadi
Person called SUfiani will show
And in same time Almahadi will come
Before all that eupharate will dry
And disclose mountain of gold
Prophet said : the Hour will not come to pass
Before river eupharate dry up to unveil

Question is hadith reliable
Allah ask to obey prophet
Quran :
O you who have believed, obey Allah and obey the Messenger
Quran :
Nor does he speak from [his own] inclination.
When you read hadith be sure its
Trusted hadith
many things quran didn't mentioned
And prophet mentioned
Like how to pray and ablution
And minor signs of judgementday
And many miracles proved scientifically
