Researchers say that eating too much red meat increases the possibility of having cancer

Researchers say that eating too much red meat increases the possibility of having cancer. They, therefore, recommend eating a small amount of it to be healthy. Scientists confirm that the world consumption of meat is about 283 million tons annually. They add that producing one kilo of meat requires 40,000 liters of water (to water the grass thats eaten by the cattle). Not eating too much meat also helps preserve the environment from pollution and global warming that result from the gas released by the cattle. Scientists, therefore, warn against eating too much meat. It might be surprising that the holy Qur'an has preceded scientists in such warning; Allah, the exalted says in the holy Quran:

O Children of Adam! wear your beautiful apparel at every time and place of prayer: eat and drink: but waste not by excess, for God loveth not the wasters.  Araf: 7: 31

All glory to Allah.

IMHO, this is indeed one of many good reasons not to eat meat. Not eating pork is always a good start :)

Eating vegetarian is very popular and accepted here in Germany.

- Still, every German eats 60kg meat in a year.
- In a slaughterhouse in http://https://maps.google.de/maps?q=witze&ie=UTF-8&ei=M3mkUePsC42B4ASl6IEo&sqi=2&ved=0CAgQ_AUoAg - Wietze 7,5 chickens are killed per minute.
- Meat industry gets heaps of money as subsidies.

Eating too much meat is bad for our health and it is bad for our planet.

Surah Al Baqarah ch 2 v 195-Allah says don't let ur hands to b the cause of ur own destruction, hence if we know that excess quantity is bad for ourhealth we should refrain from it.

The verse quoted above doesn't even mention meat. Confused

that verse is not specified only for meat it is for every commodity,in short by this verse we meant that we should consume in balanced quantity which is logical.

So what is the measurement of "Much" and "Small" here so we can avoid the too much? There must be something to use as a guide, no?
