Yeah so. The word is -

נחם nacham

Which means in this context

to be sorry, console oneself, regret, rue, suffer.

Whats your issue ?

You're thinking with your Quranic format head.
It's okay when reading the Quran, but the Biblical format is different.

Man, not being able to fully understand God's feelings uses human emotions figuatively ascribing them to God.

According to the Quran does the God with 99 names have any emotions?

so, GOD did not inspire the writers of the Bible to write exactly what GOD felt?
so, GOD did not inspire the writers of the Bible to write exactly what GOD felt?
How would you put it in human terminology? How big was the Hebrew vocabulary in those days?

Quote bet GOD did not see it coming when man disobeyed, huh?

Saw it coming and let it happen. Ever been in the situation where you knew something was going to happen that you knew you wouldn't be happy about?
Giving us a free will does come with it's set-backs.

It's this simple. My perspective, of course.
You have the right to not believe in God. Considering God would like us all to go to heaven, how happy is He with what you are doing? He hasn't stopped you from doing anything you want to yet, why would He? He didn't create us as robots. Seems you preferred to follow Kurt Cobain?

No offence please, you could be the nicest guy in the world.

My Reply

No. Ive got no problem with that. God made us in His image. We have feelings. What is your understanding of God. Some kind of computer or robot ?

Often I think because Muslims only approach God out of fear and through meaningless religious rituals and a book most Muslims cant even read, they dont actually  know God.

In many cases, not even a fear, just grew up in it, it's all rote and rituals, BUT...that can also be said for many Christians. Nothing to do with either religion.

I know Muslims who are true to their religion, pious, humble, God seeking people and do love God. I fully expect these Muslims will have place in heaven.

I believe our "paths" are parallel, just that if one is not following their own path, none others will look straight either.
