Asalamu Calykum all,

Hope you all are doing great and are in good health and emaan. Given the fact that we are in global economic recession with rising unemployment rates, I was wondering how the unemployment dealt with their current circumstances. I have been unemployed for almost a year now and the situation is getting to me know. So hope to all those who are unemployed and are coping well can share their advice with us.

Through this challenging year, one thing that made the situation a bit light for me was my religion.

Allah is the  Sustainer and Provider of the entire universe. Have faith in Him and pray for a job. Read Surah Waqea after fajr prayer every day for a week and in shaa Allah you will get a job.
Allah is a Great Listener of prayers.

Might your skills be needed in other European countries? As an example, at the moment there are many engineers from Greece, Spain and Portugal who find work in Germany.

If you think like an employee, you will be dependent on others for work but if you think like a business person, you WILL find ways to make good money. It always surprises me how as a culture we encourage our kids to go to college and work for others. Really that is not the smartest advise.

Billionaire Peter Thiel's program to pay students with promising ideas to drop out of college is attracting students and critics.

Some of us in life, we have to start as an employee and work our way up and save along the way. And by doing this ,one day we might actually have enough capital in order to start our own business. If capital was out there and everyone was able to access it , I am sure we would not be in the current mess that we are in.
