Assalam alaikum

I have a question, is it the husband's right to choose where the husband and wife must live? If so, please provide the evidence to support this, as I did a search but could not find anything related to this topic.

I am sorry to answer you when you are asking for a Muslim advice... but just a suggestion: I don't think that the husband should find the answer to this question in the Qu'ran, but in the dialogue with his wife.

The marriage is having 2 parts, husband & wife, and the main decisions should be taken by both.

If the husband is imposing his opinion, without taking care of his wife's one, it's dangerous for the relationship between them as well as the confidence that the wife has in her husband.

The husband just need to expose the situation as a better thing for both, telling her the good and the bad things, and that he needs it, and the wife will measure all this and help him. The commitment feeling, as well as the love will do the rest.

Regards

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: The best of you is the one who is best to his wife, and I am the best of you to my wives..

Better to do what pleases his wife in my opinion, unless, of course, it involves some harm or hardship.  Example: Assuming he is fulfilling his responsibility to support and financially maintain his family, it may be a hardship for him to commute long distances in order for his wife to live in a particular desired area or neighborhood.  Employment in a certain state or country may be better than others, and of course his wife must understand this.
