As'Salamu Alaikum,
Here is a beautiful poem.
Sheikh `A�id Al-Qarni gives us this advice in his famous book Don�t Be Sad.
Read it and don�t be sad! If you are stricken by poverty, others are chained in debt. If you have sinned, then repent. Let all bygones be bygones! Sadness spoils your life! Supplication is your shield! See how vast is the earth! You have sweet water to drink! Every cloud has a silver lining! And don�t be sad! ------------- Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: �All the descendants of Adam are sinners, and the best of sinners are those who repent." |

Assalamu alaikum Hello Stellaf and welcome to IC. I hope you find everything you're looking for here, Inshallah. Hello Seekshidayath my friend. I also loved this poem for the truth it contains; happiness and contentment are less a matter of acquiring or having what you're looking for externally, and more a matter of finding them within yourself. It took me a long time to figure this out. I thought happiness would follow when I found the right woman, the right job, moved to the right place, ect., and it never happened. It wasn't until I became content with exactely where I was and with who I was that I began to be happy. Now, rather than try to adjust circumstances or change things to suit me, I try to adjust myself and adapt to the circumstances I find myself in. I'm much happier for it. I'm far from perfect and don't always have such a positive outlook, but tonight I'm feeling particularly grateful for what I do have in my life. Gratitude, I've found through personal experience, is one of the keys to unlocking happiness within yourself. Thanks for the read-- Hunter
