As'salamualaikum,

Here we shall discuss the politics and all the affairs of the Indian muslims.

While the BJP is team A in the communal feelings but the congress is playing the role of team B. Those political parties, which do not have the guts to fight for the existence of secularism, they do not have right to be called as the secular parties.

Now a day the secular parties only make publicity to gain the votes but when it comes the time to give Muslims tickets in elections or according permission to the educational institutions or employment the so called secular parties do not exhibit their secularism.

The war against Narendra Modi would continue till we put him behind the bars for his sins he has made. The police machinery is not the only one, which is exhibiting communal face, but when we raise a voice against them the encouragers are being made accused. After the verdict of the lower court in the Haren Pandya Murder case the real fight against excesses and injustice has just begun. These were the excerpts of the lectures that were delivered by the renowned social activists of India.

The Siasat Daily has organized Siasat Extension Lecture on Fake Encounter Killings in India at Hyderabad that was headed by the Editor-in-Chief (The Siasat Daily) Janab Zahid Ali Khan. The fighting lady for the Muslims of riot hit Gujarat the renowned journalist and social activist Mrs.Teesta Setalvad told that the Gujarat riots have not taken place by over night and a atmosphere was created since many years.

She told that right from the school children the Hindu ideology was indoctrinated into their minds and now if we see at Lawyers bars Association, Teachers Association and in many other fields these communal people have been inserted and they from time to time keep the atmosphere warm.

It was found among the 15 year old school children in Gujarat that they were restricted in bringing Egg in their Tiffin boxes. But there is a need to ready children those who can fight for the Human rights in their real life Mrs. Setalvad told.

She also told that despite passing of five years of Godhra carnage till date there has been no clue about those who hatched a conspiracy for the incident but the Gujarat Home Minister immediately after the incident commented that the Godhra carnage is the handy work of Pakistans ISI. Mrs.

Teesta also quoted that in Haren Pandya Murder case investigation the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has taken the help of lie.

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: All the descendants of Adam are sinners, and the best of sinners are those who repent."

What do you think should be done? How long can we trust the Indian government to protect us? Should we not start preparing for defending ourselves?

ASSAULT ON FREEDOM: Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen activists trying to attack Bangladeshi novelist Taslima Nasrin at the Hyderabad Press Club on Thursday.

HYDERABAD: Bangladeshi writer Taslima Nasrin was roughed up by legislators of the Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) and a mob led by them in the Press Club of Hyderabad on Thursday.

The feminist writer and author of several novels including Lajja which was about the treatment of Hindus by Muslims in Bangladesh was here on a visit to launch the translated versions of her works at a press conference. She had just completed her engagement when about 20 MIM activists, led by MLAs Syed Ahmed Pasha Qadri, Afsar Khan and Moazzam Khan, barged into the conference hall.

She looked in disbelief as they hurled abuses against her. Demanding to know who had mustered the guts to invite her to Hyderabad, they wanted Ms. Nasrin to be handed over to them.

Without further warning, they began throwing books, bouquets, chairs, and whatever they could lay their hands on at her. Some persons in the mob almost got hold of her but Narisetti Innaiah, rationalist and chairman of the Center for Inquiry, who was her host, shielded her. He was injured in his face. A couple of journalists who went to their rescue also sustained injuries in the scuffle.

Ms. Nasrin escaped unhurt though she was badly shaken by the sudden attack that came minutes after she made a categorical statement that she would continue to fight against evil till my death.

She said that she was not afraid of the fatwas issued by fundamentalist and extremist elements.

She had earlier released the Telugu version of her work Shodh translated by V. Komala, Dr. Innaiahs wife, and Jung Changs bestseller Wild Swans, a book proscribed in China.

Repeated requests by the journalists and the organisers to the MIM men to leave the place went unheeded. They broke the glass door of the conference hall where Ms. Nasrin was taking shelter, protected by the organisers and some press photographers. The protesters raised slogans against Ms. Nasrin.

The police, who intervened at this stage, arrested the MLAs and their supporters. Ms. Nasrin was then escorted out of the hall by police and moved to an undisclosed location in the city. She left for Kolkata by air later.

The MIM MLAs were charged with rioting, trespass, criminal intimidation, causing hurt and unlawful assembly. They were produced before a magistrate who released them on bail.

Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy condemned the attack and said stern action would be taken.

Hi Candid,

Am sorry for not replying u soon. As sometime either time doesn't permit or any. Khair, frankly speaking i had forgotten of this thread and did not even check this section since many days. Coming to your question , the above post is an example of how we defend. Now we don't trust the govt as we are always being used during elections. Though we are in minority, but our votes do matter. We are used only then.Anyways i shall write up again.

The American Trap -- Will We Fall in It?

Eternal vigil is the price of freedom and we have to be over vigilant to safeguard our hard-earned freedom. It is ironic that India, which celebrated its 60th Independence Day this month, should be compromising its independence, partially at least, by willingly accepting the dangerous provisions of Civil Nuclear Cooperation Agreement with the USA.

The country is virtually divided on this. It is not only the Left parties or the BJP that are opposing it. Intellectuals also are sharply divided on the dangerous implications of this deal. When the global policies of US administration in the recent past are studied, they appear to be oriented towards strengthening US interests and perpetuating its influence as long as it is possible. The US foreign policy experts have not kept secret their plans of perpetuating US hegemony.

The US administration swears by freedom, democracy and human rights. But its policies reveal the hollowness of these slogans. Now the US has become the greatest source of economic and political exploitation of weaker nations.

The world is watching in horror what type of democracy is being promoted in Iraq and Afghanistan; how human rights were protected in Abu Gharib and how human freedom is being honoured in Guntanamo. Broadly speaking, US policy is based on its selfish interest which is pursued by means of arms twisting, threats, intimidations, sanctions, regime change, subjugation and occupation. Development of weapons of mass destruction, arms race and wars also form an essential part of this policy.

Why did the US go to Vietnam to protect its own so-called national and geo-political interests or to promote democracy? The results are there to see for the whole world. The entire region was devastated and 2 to 3 million people including 500,000 civilians were killed.

The same administration is guilty of subjugating West Asian nations and enslaving the entire population by supporting Israeli regime and imposing its hegemony on the entire region.

Now come to this 123 Agreement. It has potential of influencing our independent foreign policies. It is already evident from the fact that in IAEA not once but twice we voted against Iran blocking its legitimate nuclear energy ambitions. Iran-Pakistan-India gas pipeline also is in danger because the US is continuously arm twisting us to drop it. We were not allowed to negotiate with Syria for oil exploration because America does not like Syria and brands it as a part of axis of evil. America is not concerned about our ever increasing energy needs. It does not bother if our energy supplies from Iran and Middle East are curtailed.

Besides this US is mounting pressure on us to increase our military and strategic ties with it. It wants us to come under its shadow and act as its proxy wherever it wants it so. If tomorrow it attacks Iran, we may have to give it logistic and military support. It is working in a diplomatic way to suck us into its sphere of influence. Indian government should act very cautiously, keeping in view our long term interests, our independence and sovereignty. Being a democracy we should take the Left and the Opposition into confidence. We require an open and wide ranging debate on desirability or otherwise of further pursuing this agreement. The US should not be allowed to act as another East India Company to enslave us once again.

'Operation Kalank': Modi backed rioters in Gujarat

Thursday, 25 October 2007
< =index.php method=post>
New Delhi, October 25: Tehelka on Thursday claimed it had "irrefutable" evidence that the killings of Muslims post-Godhra train carnage in Gujarat was "not a spontaneous swell of anger but a genocide" planned and executed by top functionaries of the Sangh Parivar and state authorities "with the sanction" of Chief Minister Narendra Modi.

he magazine's Editor-in-Chief Tarun Tejpal said at a press conference that it had done a sting operation over the last six months by talking to a number of Sangh Parivar leaders, including Godhra BJP MLA Haresh Bhatt, Shiv Sena leader Babu Bajrangi, who was earlier in VHP, and VHP leaders Anil Patel and Dhawal Jayanti Patel to bring out the truth.

The BJP reacted sharply saying Tehelka was acting as "CIA (Congress Investigating Agency) and it was a collusive sting which could hardly be called investigative journalism." Party spokesman Prakash Javedekar said the "dirty tricks department" of the Congress was at work again in view of the Assembly elections in Gujarat.

None of the leaders caught on camera in the expose was available for comments, except Gujarat VHP leader Dhawal Jayanti Patel who said Bajrangi had not talked to him during the riots and he had not seen the sting operation.

Bhatt was purportedly caught on tape saying he was present in a meeting in which Modi allegedly gave him three days time "to do whatever they wanted".

"After three days, he (Modi) asked to stop and everything came to a halt," Bhatt said adding the Chief Minister thanked them after the Naroda Patiya masssacre.

The magazine claimed Dhawal Jayanti Patel told its undercover reporter that the VHP activists made lots of bombs in a factory owned by him.

A BJP MLA was shown as saying they even made rocket launchers which were used in the pogrom. It also claimed that it has exposed "a trail of lies and coercions" that establishes the fire in coach S-6 of the Sabarmati Express in Godhra on February 27, 2002 was a case of spontaneous mob fury and not a pre-meditated conspiracy as stated by the Gujarat government.
