I was raised as an Orthodox jew and studied in a yeshivah from age
9-14. at 15 I immigrated to Israel with my mother and her second husband in 1972 with every intention of fleeing as soon as I could. In 73 I met my wife and it's taken longer to leave than I first thought. I'm a professional jazz musician and teacher. As a hobby I investigate human rights violations in Palestine and Israel. I fancy myself to be a songwriter and I've a couple albums out on the net that I can't seem to even give away Still-If you care to listen to them they are on cdbaby.com just type in Daniel Dworsky and they'll pop up. Let me know what you think Write a review if you must. Knock yourself out. I have a sense of humor that may seem abrasive at times but is really a reflection of my being both pompous and confused. I assure you that I am devoid of malice and even now I can't think of anyone that I truly dislike. Well. No... Nope. Hmmmm Naw. I believe that we are all redeemable from hate and evil and the fact that I am still alive is proof enough of that because believe me I've come up against some really stinky people who started or tried to end conversations with, "Shoot him". I promise not to bore you. Edited by Daniel Dworsky |

Peace Daniel Awwwwh, have I upset you, come here & Ill give you a hug.. better now? I wonder why you are here? We (as Muslims) are here to try and improve - strengthen our faith. It seems like you have come to promote your own values!? Do you not think that it is fair, that, if you wish to dwell amongst us, you at least learn something about Muslim etiquette, first? Do you not think a good starting point to learn about Islam, is to read, & implement. I am devoid of malice Well you have certainly ignored what I have said to you in the Introduce Yourselves topic. Can you justify (the meaning of) your lyrics, now I have shown the hidden meaning (even if it is subliminal) is to promote western values? If you are not willing to listen/learn then I suggest you leave, as I will haunt you, every post you write, if you carry on with this attitude!!!!! I am not willing to let you stroll around corrupting people. Anyone can play the sympathy vote, who do you really expect to trick? Now, would you like to start afresh? As I am willing to put down the animosity you have induced in me. nadir |

I've started producing Albums for some of my students here in Israel.
One really talented young man is a Palestinian named Fouad Sulieman who writes beautiful songs in colloquial Nazerine Arabic. Let me know if you can have a listen and let me know what you think. And of course. Duh. -Thank you for your kind words regarding my stuff. Edited by Daniel Dworsky |

Nadir,
Here we go, All the words to: LIKE AIR Daddy I can see you now in the mist of my mind's eye, A flower that they pressed inside a bible. I am older now. Not like you forever young. I am many years the senior of you now. My ears are true to your laughter stilled in air, And it's spark inside the boy upon my shoulders. Would you have him now for the cost of pride and past? Do I show him as you showed me ways of war. I have heard it said that the land discerns no man, And the man deserves the leaders he has chosen. This is fine and good. This is fair. Being as it should, It's the leaders not the land that waste young lives. Let me raise my child in a land that's safe and free, Where he's free to choose our answers or his questions. Where he's free to run neither hurt nor hurting no one, Taking kindness peace and liberty like air. I wrote this tune about my father of blessed memory and my son and to me... I'm not promoting western culture I'm challenging it. The publishing rights of this song belong to Greg and Cindy Corrie I handed it to Greg in Jaffa last year. You thought I was a subliminal message sending Zionist stinker din'chya? Yes you did. Did too! I'll take that hug now. Edited by Daniel Dworsky |

Bi ismillahir rahmanir raheem
assalamu alaikum nadir As long as Daniel Dworsky follows the forum guidlines he is free to say anything he likes. >>>If you are not willing to listen/learn then I suggest you leave, as I will haunt you, every post you write, if you carry on with this attitude!!!!!<<< This is unacceptable behaviour islamicaly and on this forum, forum members can say what they like with in reason he does not have to conform to your beliefs, this is also an islamic standard. There is no compulsion in religion (2:256). Edited by rami |

Assalaamu Alaikum For the last time My point is this, Daniel has admitted that he was raised orthodox jew, and he has admitted the secular values he holds. A position from which his scope & sensitivity to others values will be limited to say the least. On the contrary to Daniels position, I was raised with (western) secular values, later studying Christianity, then Buddhism (in its varying forms from the original Indian version, to Tibetan, Chinese, & Japanese Zen, to name but a few), I have since embraced Islam and already learnt about a number of different factions. Hence who would be in a better position to discuss - Where he's free to run neither hurt nor hurting no one? Someone who is limited to his own cultural views, or someone who has learnt about various cultures, so that he may be able to discern between simply culture, & Divine compassion? After searching through all the knowledge I have, Islam and its Laws, are Free from Manipulation, & contain the Most Compassionate & Caring message. I need to search no more. The blind can plot all they wish, Allah (SWT), the Almighty, Creator of the heavens & the earth, is the Greatest of plotters. In Him, I place my trust. The Warning is this, fruitless is the plot to destroy Islam, The Day of Judgement is nigh. I thank those of you who shared your love, in the time that I was here. Alhamdulilah |
