Asalaam Calaykum,

My name is Saabriin and I joined this forum after Ummah.com was blocked.

I have three questions that have been bothering me for a while and I hope that someone can help!

1. Would it be permissible to have a hair transplant to reduce the size of my forehead?

2. Would be it permissible to have plastic surgery done on my mouth as the right side slightly droops and this causes me GREAT insecurity in my daily life?

3. In general, are NON-surgical enhancement procedures permissible in Islam (for example, the current trend is the moving of fat from your thighs to your derriere)?

Wa alaykum salaam.

Salam/Peace,
I am not a scholar.
In my humble opinion all of them are not permissible.
It's not necessary for your health. Appearance is very relative, a certain shape consider good or bad is changing form time to time and from place to place. Just like hair style or fashion mode. I heard some in Africa skinny ladies are disliked, the other around in skinny is considered an ideal shape in most western country. So in your case wide forehead in you opinion is not OK, but for others it's not a big deal.
So just felling insecure or in-confidence are not enough to justify to do plastic surgery.
That's my 2 cents.
Salam/Peace,

Semar
