The Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His beloved Prophet (PBUH) tell us the description of Paradise and there are detailed references to it, and the good reward that is therein for true believers and good doers.  The good doers will be admitted to Paradise for their goodness and the wrongdoers will be thrown into Hell-fire for their evil deeds.

The description of the bounties, comforts and luxuries of Paradise is meant to create in our minds the fondness and urge us to win them through practicing right faith and righteous deeds.

Among the many descriptions of Paradise are the following:

1.     What is it constructed of?

The Prophet (PBUH) was asked about the construction of Paradise and he said:

Bricks of silver and bricks of gold. Its mortar is musk of a strong fragrance, and its pebbles are pearls and rubies, and its earth is saffron. Whoever enters it shall feel joy and shall not suffer, and he shall live and shall not die, nor shall their clothes wear out, nor shall their youth come to an end. (At-Tirmidhi 2526).

2.     The gates of Paradise:

Paradise has eight gates. Among them is a gate, which call Ar-Rayaan. Those who observe fast will enter through this gate. The Prophet (PBUH) said:

There is none among you who performs Wudu and does it completely then says: Ash-shhadu An la ilaha illallahu Wa Anna Muhammadan Abduhu Wa Rasuluh (I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger), but the eight gates of Paradise will be opened to him, and he will enter through whichever one he wishes. (Muslim 234).

3.     The levels of Paradise:

The Prophet (PBUH) said:

Leave the people to do deeds, for verily in Paradise there are a hundred levels, what is between every two levels is like what is between the heavens and the earth. Al-Firdaus is the hightest of Paradise and its most expansive, and above that is the Throne of Ar-Rahman (the Most Gracious), and from it the rivers of Paradise are made to flow forth. So when you ask Allah, ask Him for Al-Firdaus. (At-Tirmidhi 2530).

4.     Rivers of Paradise:

Allah, the Most Gracious and the Most Merciful says:

The description of Paradise which the Muttaqun (pious - see V.2:2) have been promised is that in it are rivers of water the taste and smell of which are not changed; rivers of milk of which the taste never changes; rivers of wine delicious to those who drink; and rivers of clarified honey (clear and pure). (Muhammad 47:15).

There is a river, which is called Al-Kauthar, and it is also known as Haudh An-Nabi concerning which the Prophet (PBUH) said:

Whoever drinks from it will never he thirsty again. It is as wide as it is long, like the distance between Amman and Aylah. Its water is whiter than milk and sweeter than honey. (Muslim 2300).

5.     The trees of Paradise:

The prophet (PBUH) said:

There is a tree in Paradise (which is so big and huge that) if a rider tgravels in its shade for one hundred years, he will not be able to cross it. (Al-Bukhari 3251).

6.     The tents of Paradise:

The Prophet (PBUH) said:

In Paradise the believer will have a tent made from a single hollowed-out pearl, sixty miles high (or wide), in which the believer will have wives and he will go around among them, and they will not see one another. (Muslim 2838).

7.     The people of Paradise:

The Prophet (PBUH) said:

The people of Paradise are without body hair, Murd (it means a youth without hair on his chain, it can also mean beautiful), with Kuhl (on their eyelids), their youth does not come to an end, and their clothes do not wear out. (At-Tirmidhi 2539).

8.     The women of Paradise:

The Prophet (PBUH) said:

And if one of the women of Paradise looked at the earth, she would fill the whole space between them (the earth and the heaven) with light, and would fill whatever is in between them with perfume, and the veil of her face is better than the whole world and whatever is in it. (Al-Bukhari 6568).

9.     Who will enter Paradise first?

The Prophet, Muhammad (PBUH) is the first to enter Paradise then Abu Bakr. And among the common people there are three who will enter first to Paradise. The Prophet (PBUH) said:

I was shown the first of (every) three to enter Paradise: A martyr, and Afif (the one who avoids that which is prohibited), who is a Mutaaffif (the one who refrains from that which is not befitting for him, being patient in opposing his self and its desires), and a slave who perfected his worship of Allah, and was sincere to his masters. (At-Tirmidhi 1642).

10. The bliss for the one who will enter lastly to Paradise:

The Prophet (PBUH) said, Allah will say to the last of the people of Paradise to enter therein:

Go and enter Paradise, and you will have the equivalent of the whole world and ten times as much. (Muslim 186).

11. The Master or the Chiefs of Inhabitants of Paradise:

From the elder people are Abu Bakr and Umar. The Prophet (PBUH) said concerning them:

These two (Abu Bakr and Umar) are the masters of the elder people among the inhabitants of Paradise. From the first ones and the last ones, not including the Prophets and the Messengers. (At-Tirmidhi 3664).

From the youths are Al-Hasan and Al-Husain (RA). The Prophet (PBUH) said:

Al-Hasan and Al-Husain are the chiefs of the youths of the people of Paradise. (At-Tirmidhi 3781).

And From the Women are Maryam bin Imran, Fatimah bin Muhammad, Khadijah (the first wife of the Prophet PBUH) and Asyah (the wife of Pharaoh). The Prophet (PBUH) said:

The masters of the women among the inhabitants of Paradise after Maryam bin Imran, Fatimah, Khadijah, and Asyah the wife of Pharaoh. (As-Silsilah As-Sahihah 1424).

12. The servants of Paradise:

Allah (SWT) says:

And round about them will (serve) boys of everlasting youth. If you see them, you would think them scattered pearls. (Al-Insan 76:19).

In short, Paradise is such a place of everlasting favors that no one saw it ever, in this life, except the Prophet (PBUH). Therefore the real nature and true reality of its favors can never be comprehended by humans, as the original nature of the Paradise is beyond the limits of our intellectual perception, how the eyes, ears and the hearts can then feel the delight of it. The detail of the description of the Paradise has already been mentioned and I ask Allah (SWT) to make us from its inhabitants. Ameen.
