Greetings MANALAGARADBA,

... and there's nothing in this to make you question whether this is the Word of the Creator, or the justice of a loving Creator?

Did you read through the whole thread?

asalaam.

Thankfully mercy prevailed and Miriam Ibrihim was freed.

Now we turn to Pakistan where:
A Christian mom has been sentenced to death in Pakistan for her faith.
Asia Bibi has been accused of blasphemy speaking against the prophet Muhammad.
Now this wife and mother of five will hang for her Christian faith.
She would be the first woman executed under Pakistans Shariah blasphemy law.

To me this is oppression of the worst kind....
to tell people what they must believe... to say they may not think for themselves or have opinions of their own... that they must be careful in everything they might say because you never know who is listening.  How does a mother teach her child her faith if she can not speak?  If everything she says is to be censored?  Who could live like that?  Can a muslim imagine living in a nation where they must be careful never to mention Muhammad?  It would be the same kind of tyranny.

What if every country were to have laws that say you can never question the leader... would this be acceptable, to take away the right to free-thinking?  This would be oppression in favor of tyranny.  To insist no one question, or express thoughts of their own, is to pave the way for tyrants.

Prayers are needed for the mercy of God for Asia Bibi, her children, and her family.
