Asalam walaykum everyone!

I am a new Muslim. I only know basic of the Islam. I was looking for a website like this one where I am able to ask questions and gain knowledgable answers. I need help with the beginning of Islam and would LOVE to learn more. I am not sure if anyone knows of a website that can help me learn about Islam in a classroom style set up. If so you can email me or feel free to respond to this post. I am excited to learn about my new religion.

A little more about me, I am an American citizen. I have lived here all of my life. I met my husband last year while working at the hotel that I currently work for now. He was amazing. I just new that he was my destiny when he first locked eyes. He is Egyptian and a Muslim. He introduced me to Islam but finds himself far too busy to help me learn so I now have to come out and look for the answers and help for myself. If there is someone out there who can help me out it would be greatly appreciated by someone who is interested in learning new things. Islam is now a part of my life and I would love to know ALL about Islam so one day, in shaa allah, I will be able to travel to Mecca and see the Kabba. I want to be able to go to prayer and not struggle to remember what I am supposed to say.

There are also cultural and religious questions that I have about marriage to someone in my situation. If there is anyone or more than one person out there who would like to help me I would be greatly appreciated for your time. Thank you for taking the time to read this and thank you in advance for anyone's help.

Masalam.

Walaikum as-salaam sister.  I commend your wish to learn more about Islam.  There are plenty of websites you could go to, but it may be better for you to go to a local mosque.  Most mosques have some sort of classes they offer, whether it on learning to read and write Arabic, read the Quran, Islamic history etc.

Of course, you can always ask any questions you may have and get answers on this forum.  There are many knowledgeable brothers and sisters here.  InshaAllah, you will benefit from them.

I have a norwegian quran, but it seems like the sura and verse are different from the english ones or original ones. Anyone know something about this?
