Hi all,
I am new here, this is my first post. I am not a Muslim but I have huge respect for the Islamic culture, especially for the philosophy and the science of the Arabs, and of course, for the Arabic language which I started learning recently through the Asimil Arabic language course. I want to be able to transliterate the Arabic language but I don't know how to type the "ṭ" and similar unique letters. Do I need to install some additional software or I can use some inherent Windows tool that would allow me to type such letter of the Arabic transliteration? Thank you in advance for your kind assistance! Ile Edited by IleS - 15 August 2013 at 6:40pm |

I mean letter 'Ttaa', 'Saad', 'Daad' and other with doth underneath. But not only those, the other letters also, for which I do not have representation in my ordinary Windows keyboard layout.

I don't know if I was not clear enough, or maybe you misunderstood me. I don't need phone application, I need keyboard layout for my PC where I can write the transliterated Arabic. Thanks Edited by IleS - 16 August 2013 at 12:25pm |

I think there is
no exact transliteration, so you need to combine two letters to get closer with the original pronunciation.
For example "sh' for letter "sheen"
"kh" for letter "kho" or "kha"
"dh" for letter "dhad"
Even than, it is not exactly right, that's why we need to get live teacher to get a correct pronunciation, that can suggest where and how the tongoue position.
