What specifically are you talking about?  'give me my treasure back?' At the very least, as is clear in history, it would have been a give and a take, back and forth, markets would have been developed and market forces would eventually (in peacetime) prevail.  You would still have had to work hard (most of us anyhow) for what treasure you could dig up from the earth...so how would this have been different if the Brits had stayed put on their island?

Knowledge transfer and technology transfer is happening all around the world.  It doesn't hurt to be steeped in the primary languages (not just English).  Do you really think Russia's in such good shape or even Japan?  Those economies have had great adjustments to go through.

Further, are you saying India hasn't made great economic progress and national progress in the past 50 years?

Excellent responses Community to our communist traveler.  Another way that being on the right is never accomplished is through political extremism and terrorism.  The right is NEVER accomplished this way - but, rather, in letting people live their lives, quietly, as it is possible to do so, God willing, in peace and in freedom.  Someone, like W, who seems to thrill to the political beat moreso than the spiritual or heavenly drummer, cannot understand/perceive this.  To him, there are people "worth knowing" [his own words], and those that are not worth knowing.

That is sad.
