Aslamualaykum, I'm here because I don't know what else to do.

My brother who is 15 now, doesn't listen to my parents. He always causes

frustration and sadness in our family. He yells, forces people to do things

his way and if we don't, he will take it out on my other brothers, who are

younger than him. I see that my parents are at their wits ends because of

all that. And because of his attitude, my other brothers are starting to act

like him. Me and my mom have sat down with him so many times and

confront him of his behavior, but it doesn't seem to work at all. He has

caused my mother to cry many times and I feel helpless becasue I can't do

anything about it. It feels like he doesn't care about hurting people as

long as he is happy. We fight EVERYDAY with him. I wish we didn't have to.

It's very saddening. I have prayed so many many times for him. He fights

 and 'blackmails and threatens'

my other brothers if they don't do what he wants. I want him to see and

acknowledge what he does wrong and do something positive about it. I

know he isn't a bad person. But I want to know why he does all these

things.

He needs some tough love and discipline. The parents should take away privileges like cellphones, internet, pocket money etc and EXPECT him to earn his privileges. If there are no negative consequences to his actions, he won't learn.

"O Lord, forgive me, my parents and Muslims in the Hereafter. O Lord, show mercy on them as they showed mercy to me when I was young."
