asslam alaikum,

As you know, there are lots of people in islamic cyber space. But we can not identify whether the person in cyberspace is a sincere Muslim or not. Of course it is impossible to know the person online in detail, but people express their religious things as Avatar, Nickname, some articles, and so on.
So,
How do you express religious sincerity in cyber space?
and also is it possible?
Plz talk turkey~!

Walaikkum Salam,

Welcome to the forum. I think the best way to express your religious sincerity in cyber space is by demonstrating the best manners regardless of the provocations in this domain. It is often very difficult, but Allah rewards us enormously if we practice it appropriately. Imams Bukhari and Muslim reported that the Messenger Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:

The best of you is the best among you in conduct.

Also, the Quran says:

Invite (all) to the Way of thy Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching; and argue with them in ways that are best and most gracious: for thy Lord knoweth best, who have strayed from His Path, and who receive guidance.

Quran 16:125

I hope it helps.

Peace

Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?
Qur'an 55:13

The answer with Quran and Hadith is really helpful for me.
But I haver something to ask you
cause I think many people treat a person well, although they are Christian, Jews or atheist as well as Muslim.
So I'd like to know how can the person who has Muslim's identity express religious sincerity online?

That is to say How can we identify Muslim among people in cyberspace, and especially sincere Muslim?

Assalamu Alaikum,

I think it is tough to identify in the cyberspace. Some people may claim that they are Muslims, but they are not. There are many anti-Islam sites and sources that aim to misrepresent Islam and the Muslims.

Under these circumstances, it seems to me that you apply your natural instincts or common sense to see if someone is a Muslim. Referring to my previous post, sincere Muslims would be good in manners. They would share reliable sources of information, and they would be sincere in presenting the information or imparting the knowledge. They may be identified by looking at these traits. Allah knows the best.

Peace
