The holy Qur'an is the greatest book of science and research. Allah cautions us always to reflect, think, compare and argue with caution and soundness of judgment. There is no ambiguity, inconsistency and confusion in it. It has no priest and its interpretation cannot be exhausted. Allah says if all the rivers and seas were to be turned into ink and all the straws and trees in the world be turned into a pen, they cannot exhaust the meaning of the holy Qur'an.
Let us reflect on the names Ishmail and Isacc. Ishmail was mentioned 12 times in the holy Qur'an; 9 times during the Madinan revelation and 3 times during the Makkan revelation. Ishmail was first mentioned in the 5th year of revelation.Ibrahim and ishamail were mentioned in the Qur'an in relation to the building of the Ka'ba in Madina. Ishamail was mentioned with Isacc 6 times all in Madina. Ishmail was mentioned alone once in Makka and 3 times with other prophets. Isacc was mentioned 17 times in the holy Qur'an, 6 times in Madinan verses always with Ishmail. Isacc was mentioned alone once in Makka. Isacc was mentioned with Ya'qub (Jacob) 16 times. The Qur'an confirmed Ishmail was the son of Abraham. The commentary fits what was in the book of Genesis. If there is inconsistency why did Allah not mention Isacc building the Ka'ba? Friendship. |
