Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; those who seek find; and to those who knock, the door will be opened. I understand, that in the Koran, God takes credit for destroying innumerable human cities: And how many a city have WE destroyed, which was given to wrongdoing, so that it is fallen down on its roofs; and how many a well is deserted and how many a lofty castle lies in ruins !Indeed, Sumer was the Cradle of Human Civilization, upon this particular planet, beginning thousands of years before the days of Abraham. And, Sumer was devastated by The Great Flood, about 2900 BC, which destruction is widely credited to God. QUESTION: Have there been any cities, ever, in human history, which wound up destroyed and reduced to rubbled ruins, but whose destructions cannot be credited (ultimately) to God ? Are there any ancient (human) civilizations, like Sumer or Egypt, whose eventual complete cultural collapses -- so that, for example, Cuneiform & Hieroglyphics lay lost & forgotten for many millennia -- cannot be credited (ultimately) to God ? |
