exact cause of most mental illnesses is not known, it is becoming clear through

biological, psychological and environmental factors. Biological Factors Involved in Mental Illness: Some mental illnesses have been linked to an abnormal balance of special

Islam has no objections against seeking professional medical advise for illnesses, whether mental or physical. So the best option would be to approach a professional and seek thier advise regarding such disorders. |

There
are several authentic hadiths, according to which people were said to come to
the Prophet for spiritual remedies for their illnesses and that of their kith
and kin.

Brother Astro, In my previous post you will find the Hadith which tells us what was the Prophet's method of treatment of diseases, and his advice to the Sahaba on the subject. But what is commonly known these days as 'Islamic Spiritual Healing' is in fact an unislamic act practiced by fradulent people who claim that their spiritual healing is based on the knowledge extracted from Quran and Sunnah. In fact they make a mockery of Qur'anic verses to please the shaitan/deviant among the Jinn, and take favours from him. Such acts are strictly forbidden in Islam. Please dont be decieved by them. |
