Peace be with all who read and comment on this thread. Peace be with you who are seeking God and His truth with all your heart! May we all realize we are of one creation, of one family. Let us not acknowledge the division created by our predecessors, our religions and our specific doctrines within those religions ( which divide people of otherwise common interests ).
I see one of the overriding issues in the discussion of faiths and beliefs to be faith itself and failing to adhere to what is taught in our respective scriptures: Strongest among men in enmity to the believers wilt thou find the Jews and Pagans; and nearest among them in love to the believers wilt thou find those who say, "We are Christians": because amongst these are men devoted to learning and men who have renounced the world, and they are not arrogant. Quran 5:82 ( Yusuf Ali ) And dispute ye not with the People of the Book, except with means better (than mere disputation), unless it be with those of them who inflict wrong (and injury): but say, "We believe in the revelation which has come down to us and in that which came down to you; Our Allah and your Allah is One; and it is to Him we bow (in Islam)." - Quran 29:46 ( Yusuf Ali ) |

I find the responses here from Muslims very closed minded and unable to deal with any of the valid issues raised. They are just countered with ridiculous responses or sidetracked and avoided. I don't think Muslims are able to comprehend the truth or think outside their box, and are simply brainwashed.

Your perception of things is not necessarily the perception of other people. Have you ever considered that YOU could be wrong? |

Peace be with you, Empiricist. What one needs to consider is the bigger picture that in certain societies, religion is taught at the earliest of ages. The religion IS the culture. To expect a person who for their entire lives grew up performing certain rituals, hearing a certain message throughout the day and being demanded to continue in this fashion to immediately comprehend, understand and believe another message is quite nearsighted an expectation ( even with internet access ). To doubt or look at other sources is frowned upon and grounds for a major reprimand. The religion is taught to discredit all other sources ( even the sources from which their religion was derived ). There is a teaching that the old and new covenant messages have been distorted and thus not too many read those sources, but only derive their understanding from their official sources ( Quran, hadiths and books based on logic ). Remember, it takes faith to believe the message of Christ... logic will not bring one to this faith and to the peace which.... "And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Yeshua." - Philippians 4:7 Regarding logic and man's wisdom: For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. For it is written: I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate. Where is the wise person? Where is the teacher of the law? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe. Jews demand signs and Greeks look for wisdom, but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength. - 1 Corinthians 1:18-25If you were taught to say the sky was purple while everyone else agrees the color is blue ( these being terms of men to call something already in existence prior to man's arrival ), you'll think those who call it blue are crazy and that 'color' you see is actually purple.... and when you see the color purple, you were taught that color is actually blue. There are videos about Muslims coming to Christ after seeing a vision / having a dream / or speaking to people either on a faithful level or intellectual level and after reading through the Word and discovering for themselves 'who' Yeshua is according to His message... they are renewed and begin to 'see.' Let us also remember God doesn't see people according to their religion or nationality or the things that men see... He sees their heart: "But the Lord said to Samuel, Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart. - 1 Samuel 16:7 Peace be with all who read and see this message for what it is. |

The ancients (of Islam) taught that prophets were denied. When they were defied Allah replied with miracles putting defiers down and elevating the prophets. Then the veracity of the prophet is established.

The ancients (of Islam) taught that Jesus was born on the 10th of Muharram. He was also raised to heaven on the 10th of Muharram. Muslims do not celebrate the birthday of Jesus or any of the other prophets. They celebrate the blessed 10th day of Muharram. Many great events happened that day, for instance, the birth of Jesus and his being raised to heaven, the splitting of the ocean for drowning Fir'awn (Pharaoh), the deliverance of Yunus (Jonas) from the fish which swallowed him, the coming out of Yusuf (Joseph) from the well, and many other great events.

In Islam, Jesus ws not crucified. It was his betrayer who led Jesus's enemies to a cave where Jesus was staying. On arriving at the cave, the betrayer told them to wait outside whle he would go in. When he went inside, he found no one. Allah had raised Jesus to Himself. Meanwhile Allah changed the appearance of the betrayer. He gave him the appearance of Jesus. When the enemies went in, they found the betrayer looking exactly like Jesus and thought it was Jesus. They seized him and took him to crucify him. He kept telling them he was not Jesus but they did not listen to him and crucifed him. You find this story in "the Book of Deceits". It is an ancient book translated from arabic into french by the late Rene Khawam. Edited by Muslim75 - 13 August 2014 at 3:31pm |
