Narrated Anas: The Prophet said, "Whoever possesses the following three qualities will have the sweetness (delight) of faith: 1. The one to whom Allah and His Apostle becomes dearer than anything else. 2. Who loves a person and he loves him only for Allah's sake. 3. Who hates to revert to Atheism (disbelief) as he hates to be thrown into the fire." Sahih Bukahri (Book #2, Hadith #15) |

As Salamu Alaikum Narrated By 'Abdullah bin 'Amr (Radhi Allahu Anhu): The news of my daily fasting and praying every night throughout the night reached the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alayhi wa Sallam). So he sent for me or I met him, and he said, "I have been informed that you fast everyday and pray every night (all the night). Fast (for some days) and give up fasting (for some days); pray and sleep, for your eyes have a right on you, and your body and your family (i.e. wife) have a right on you." I replied, "I have more power than that (fasting)." The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alayhi wa Sallam) said, "Then fast like the fasts of (the Prophet) David". I said, "How?" He replied, "He used to fast on alternate days, and he used not to flee on meeting the enemy." I said, "From where can I get that chance?" ('Ata' said, "I do not know how the expression of fasting daily throughout the life occurred.") So, the Prophet said, twice, "Whoever fasts daily throughout his life is just as the one who does not fast at all." (Al-Bukhari Vol.3 No.198)

Narrated 'Abdullah: I asked the Prophet "Which deed is the dearest to Allah?" He replied, "To offer the prayers at their early stated fixed times." I asked, "What is the next (in goodness)?" He replied, "To be good and dutiful to your parents" I again asked, "What is the next (in goodness)?" He replied, 'To participate in Jihad (religious fighting) in Allah's cause." 'Abdullah added, "I asked only that much and if I had asked more, the Prophet would have told me more." (Book #10, Hadith #505) - Sahih Bukhari |

Assalamu Alaikum, We can post here daily one Hadith. Let us not discuss in this thread. If you need to discuss any verse, please do so in another thread: http://www.islamicity.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=5779& ; ;PN=1&TPN=1 1. 'Umar ibn al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, said on the minbar, "I heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, say, 'Actions are but judged according to intentions. Every man has what he intends. So whoever emigrates to gain something of this world or to marry a woman, his emigration is for that to which he emigrated.'" Bukhari, Chapter 1: 1 http://www.sunnipath.com/library/Hadith/H0002P0001.aspx
