Semolina Pudding (Mamounieh)

Semolina Pudding perfumed with rose water. Can be savored as a main dish or dessert.
Ingredients:
- Sugar: 1.75 to 2 cups
- Semoulina: 1 cup
- Water: 4 cups
- Butter: 2 Tablespoons
- Pinenuts: 1 Tablespoon
- Pistacchios: 3 pieces
- Rose Water: 2 Tablespoons
Optional: Half pound String Cheese & Pita Bread
- Semoulina: 1 cup
- Water: 4 cups
- Butter: 2 Tablespoons
- Pinenuts: 1 Tablespoon
- Pistacchios: 3 pieces
- Rose Water: 2 Tablespoons
Optional: Half pound String Cheese & Pita Bread
Preparation:
- Heat water and sugar on low until it starts boiling.
- In a deep pan mix semoulina with melted butter and heat on low fire stirring constantly until pinenuts become slightly brown.
- Pour boiling water & sugar mixture into pan containing semoulina
- Keep on fire till it becomes thick
- Add Rosewater & stir
- Remove from fire and pour into a large saucer.
- Decorate with roasted pinenuts and Pistacchios
Suggestions:
Can be served with String Cheese on the side and Pita Bread.
