Lentil Lemon Soup (Ades Bi Hamod)

Hearty Lentil soup with a soury taste garnished with bread crumbs makes a filling and delicious appetizer.
Ingredients:
Yellow lentils: 2 cups
- Water: 4-6 cups approx.
- Onions: 1
- Garlic: 2 cloves
- Salt: 1 teaspoon
- Butter or olive oil: 2 table spoons
- Lemon juice: 1 cup
- Parsley: 1 Dash
- Red Pepper Powder: 1 Dash
- Water: 4-6 cups approx.

Preparation:
- Boil water and lentils for 5 minutes. Simmer uncovered until tender.
- Pour in Mixer and grind.
- Pour into bowl, add lemon juice and salt and simmer.
- In a separate pan heat olive oil or butter and fry garlic until lightly browned.
- Pour on top of soup.
- Serve hot or cold with fresh cut onions on the side.
- Garnish with a Dash of Parsley and Red Pepper Powder.
