Meat and potato stew

The aroma of this dish will fill your house. Wait another day and the dish will be even more delicious. If you use a pressure cooker it will cut the cooking time enourmously.
Ingredients:
2 lb Beef cubes
4 lb potatoes, peeled and cut into 1 in cubes
1 bunch cilantro, chopped
2 cloves of garlic
3 bay leaves
1/2 onion
2 tbs of lemon juice
1 tsp salt
1 tsp all spice
2 tbs oil+ 1/2 cup oil

Preparation:
1. In a pot, under high heat, add the oil and fry half of the beef cubes.
2. Once brown on one side,5 min, flip to the other side and cook for an additional 5 min.
3. Repeat with other half of beef.
4. Add the beef in the pressure cooker, cover with water.
5. Add the bay leaves, the onion, the spices and salt
6. Cover the pressure cooker and cook for 20 min under high pressure.
7. If using a regular pot: cover the beef twice as high with water.
a. Add spices, onion, bay leaves and salt.
b. Cook over low heat for 2hr, regularly skimming the fat on top
c. In the meanwhile:
8. in a pan add ½ cup oil and fry the potatoes until just crisp on the outside, 5 min on each side.
9. Set aside
10. Once the meat is done, mix the potatoes, cilantro, garlic and beef.
11. Cook for an additional 15 min, until the potatoes are done (a knife inserted will penetrate deep inside the potatoes without resistance).
12. Add the lemon juice, taste and adjust seasoning
