Boats carrying Gaza patients set for bid to break Israel blockade

Two boats will set sail from Gaza this week with Palestinians who need urgent hospital care. They will try to break a blockade imposed by Israel, which has prevented medical supplies from getting into the territory and patients from leaving.

Hospitals in Gaza have been struggling to treat thousands of Palestinians who have been wounded by Israeli bullets during recent protests.

Al Jazeera's Bernard Smith reports from Gaza.
