I find it incredibly contradictory that countries that own nuclear weapons do so for peaceful means.. they own nukes as a dirrect threat aimed at other countries that own nukes... is wasn't that long ago that Iran denied even thinking about it.. this leads to a question that its possible to entertain the notion that perhaps Iraq does have WOMD?

What do you know about Japan ak-m-f?   Do you know why the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki were chosen to be nuked? For starters America at the end of WWII had gotten pretty good at correctly guessing how many GIs would be killed taking a given target. in 1945 Berlin was surrounded.American,British, and Russian armies blocked off the whole place.Americans estimated that 250k allied troops would die taking Berlin. The Russians wanted the "Honor" and gave 250,000 lives doing so. Now america had been fighting Japan all over asia. And let me tell you. The Japs are formidable.Their warrior code is the most fanatical in the world. The japs are the most tenasious foe the US ever faced. In 1 battle, 40,000 japanese troops defended Iwo Jima They knew they would die but kept fighting to the last man. well just about...of 40,000 only 200 survived.the rest fought to the death.....Now given those facts the US estimated taking Japan would kill 1 million of our troops......so lose 1 million troops..or ....Use this new weapon.....Take a guess what we did? The bombs carried by the japanese planes dropped on Pearl Harbour. Were built in factories in Hiroshima. Much of Japans Navy set sail to fight American forces. set sail from the huge naval base in Nagasaki. So those cities were legitimate targets. And way more importantly 1 million American lives were saved. I see no Irresponsibility here or Crime.

Hi kenski70,

"I see no Irresponsibility here or Crime".

And till today there are innocent children born with defects. The effect of that radiation can still be felt even after 60 years in those Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, yet you see no responsibility here or crime. There can be no justification whatsoever for using Nuclear Bomb against innocent civilians. All such bombs should be eliminated no matter where they are.

Peace

It was a different time and yes it was completely acceptable to bomb both of those cities. It saved millions of americans, period!!! Notice america has never again used the bomb once it was realized what it really did?

Get it through your heads that I don't support Bush or the Israeli's! Thank your lucky stars for America is here to stay!!!

Also about Iran, Iran had hidden it's nuke program for a long time. Why should we believe them now? Not even the IAEA has said that Iran is not wanting to produce nukes.
