The attachment of Muslims with the Qur�an is a prerequisite for the �fire of faith� to keep burning in their hearts. Dr. Abu Ameenah Bilal Philips (B.A. in Usool ad-Deen from the Islamic University of Madeena as well as a Ph.D in Islamic Theology) who reverted to Islam in 1972 encourages Muslims to hearken to the message of the Qur�an in order to enhance their faith. In this program he also enlightens us on the historical aspects of Islam with regards to Islamic Jurisprudence (Fiqh) and a scientific study of the compilations of the traditions of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).

The program promotes the concept of Universal Brotherhood i.e. the whole human race originated from a single pair of male and female. It suggests that all human beings are brothers in humanity. Although human beings are made into different nations and tribes and there are variations in their skin colours and languages but the spirit of Islam unites them in belief. This spirit motivates us to call people towards the religion of truth, Islam, and to dispel stereotypes and misconceptions about it.

�Qirat� is the melodious recitation of the Glorious Qur'an as per the linguistic rules of the Arabic language i.e. TAJWEED. It presents World-renowned Qaris from the Islamic World chanting beautifully the verses of the Qur�an in�Tarteel� (slow measured recitation) as well as �Hadr� (fast measured recitation) with the cadence of their voice and control of their breath. The Prophet (pbuh) also encouraged us to recite the Qur�an in a melodious fashion.

The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said, "Allah has not heard anything more pleasing than listening to me reciting the Qur�an in a sweet voice." [Sahih Muslim Vol. 1 Chapter 275 Hadith No. 1728]

It contains questions on various sections like Qur�an, Hadith, Concept of God, Seerah of the Prophet (pbuh), History of Islam, Da�wah, Fiqh, Islamic Etiquettes and many others.

The objective of such workshops is to develop certain skills to enhance one�s efficiency on personal as well as professional levels without compromising on the Islamic ethics and principles. It uses a novel method of slide presentation for better interaction between the presenter and participants. Time Management, Listening skills, Communication skills, Creative Skills, Personal Goal Setting and Prioritization are some of the topics that are covered in these workshops.

�The Prophet (pbuh) said: The best among you (Muslims) are those who learn the Qur�an and teach it (to others).� [Sahih Al-Bukhari Vol. 6 Hadith No. 5027]

Shaikh Faizur Rahman Nadwi (B.A. Nadwatul Ulama, Lucknow, India) unravels the meaning of the Qur�an with the help of other reliable commentaries to gain deeper insight into its universal message within a contemporary perspective in the light of authentic traditions of the Prophet (pbuh).
